Ted
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com. TED speakers have included Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, Nandan Nilekani, Philippe Starck, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sal Khan, and Daniel Kahneman
The annual TED Conference takes place each spring in Vancouver, British Columbia. TED’s media initiatives include TED.com, where new TED Talks are posted daily; TED Translators, which provides subtitles and interactive transcripts as well as translations from volunteers worldwide; the educational initiative TED-Ed. TED has established The Audacious Project that takes a collaborative approach to funding ideas with the potential to create change at a thrilling scale; TEDx, which supports individuals or groups in hosting local, self-organized TED-style events around the world, and the TED Fellows program, helping world-changing innovators from around the globe to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized

TEDxVIPS
TEDTalks is something that we’re all familiar with. Be it a TED event, or a TEDx event, the idea that how an “achiever” starts his journey and shares his experiences with others, pushing them to test their limits is really very gripping
TEDxVIPS is a robust initiative by us the students of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, in an attempt to bring the enlightening and exhilarating vibe that the event offers to our college students. Anything involving the event, right from planning the smallest bit to its implementation brings us to a new learning curvature, and we thoroughly are enjoying it.
Also, just so you know, yes this is our first time hosting the event, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be hustling hard. You know what they say, “people come and go, but the grind never stops….”

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies has never shunned down any opportunity to provide its students an insight into the practicality and factual aspects of both professional and personal life. With a person like Swami Vivekananda being the icon for our college, we believe it is our responsibility to cater to the creative as well as resourceful requirements of our students. And with a vision this bonafide and a faculty ever so willing to uphold, we’re unstoppable.
With TEDxVIPS, the game plan is to reach out to people who didn’t settle for less and have them share their story to incline the young minds towards becoming the best version of themselves. We strongly believe anyone in the world can be the reason for a change, they just need motivation, and we aim at giving them just that. Speakers:
