Resume Development Session
Resume is often known as “The first impression you leave with an organization.” In order to make students capable of writing a valuable and an impressive resume for themselves the Placement Department of Vivekananda School of Business Studies organized a series of Resume Development Session from 3rdOctober – 5th October 2018 for students of 2nd and 3rd year BBA and B.Com(Hons).
The session was addressed by various faculties in different classes. To enable smooth conduct of the session, the students were required to-

Download the prescribed resume format and update it with their credentials.

Bring in their respective laptops to the session with updated resume.

Mail the final resume to the concerned student coordinator.


The session was started with a very basic thought of assimilating a resume as an advertisement for oneself. The faculties later made students understand the core difference between a resume and a CV, followed by stressing over the need of learning the art of recognizing one’s capabilities and strengths in this competitive era. Some of the major guidelines to help write an effective resume included:

Need to include a career statement in your resume

Need to furnish true details
The session ended by clarification of various doubts and finalizing everyone’s resume. The students were thankful for making them learn a skill that would be highly needed in future.
