An Industrial Motivational Campaign was conducted by Ministry of MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), Government of India on 9th January, 2020 from 01:00 p.m. to 04:00 p.m. in the college auditorium to acquaint students with the nuances of entrepreneurship. The objective of the campaign was to familiarize young future entrepreneurs with the assistance and various schemes initiated by the Government of India, Ministry of MSME and NSIC to help students develop the business ideas and set up their own ventures.The host of the event Dr. Vaishali Sethi invited the dignitaries to occupy the dais. Dr. Indira Bhardwaj (Dean, VSBS) and the faculty members of Entrepreneurship Development Cell Prof. (Dr.) Meenakshi Gandhi, Dr. Ridhima Sharma and Ms. Aashu Aggarwal welcomed all the dignitaries by felicitating them with a potted plant and souvenirs.

The event further proceeded by inviting the first speaker for the day, Mr. V.K. Gupta, Dy. Director (Minister of MSME). Mr. V.K. Gupta talked about the various aspects of entrepreneurship and the skills an entrepreneur needs to possess to survive the market dynamics. He highlighted risk-taking as the most crucial characteristic of a successful entrepreneur. Adding to this, he talked about the procurement, marketing and financial support schemes provided by the government.

The next speaker was Mr. Onkar Singh Maini, Chief Manager (Punjab & Singh Bank). He addressed the issue of finance in starting a new venture and talked about how young entrepreneurs can arrange funds for their startup and what all financial assistance is available for MSMEs in India.

The next speaker who came onto the podium was Mr. Ashish Kumar from NSIC. He discussed the benefits of the various schemes available and the training programme which would be organized in the college as an amazing opportunity to understand the nuances of business in different fields and give students personalized assistance in their business ideas.

The next speaker was Mr. Dinesh Kumar from MSME. He showed a video showcasing different schemes and the real life experiences of entrepreneurs who got benefitted from these schemes. The video was followed by a power point presentation that covered the definition and functions of MSMEs in India.

Dr. Indira Bhardwaj (Dean, VSBS) concluded the seminar with her valuable remarks and insights on the scope of MSMEs and entrepreneurship. Lastly, there was a question and answer round where the speakers addressed the queries of students and told them about the technical know- how and other assistances available for MSMEs and how can these schemes be availed. The event concluded with Prof. (Dr.) Meenakshi Gandhi proposing a vote of thanks.
