“Fresher’s Party” in any college is an event, which every student eagerly waits from the time of admission. 26 September, 2019 was a memorable day in the life of every fresher of BBA(G) & B. Com (Hons.) batch 2019-22 of Vivekananda School of Business Studies (VSBS) as the day was filled with enthusiasm, happiness, music, dance and delicious food.

The celebration started around 11:30 am at the Vivekananda Hall by Ishita Mukherjee with a warm welcome of all the guests, faculty members and students. This was followed by a welcome note by Prof. Rattan Sharma (then Principal Director, Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies) & Dr. Indira Bhardwaj (Dean, VSBS); and the freshers’ were welcomed to the VIPS Family.

After the blessings of all senior members, the cultural programme started with a “Ramp Walk” & “Introduction Round”. There were fourteen (14) students including seven (7) males & females each competing for “Mr. Fresher 2019” & “Ms. Fresher 2019” title. Followed by the Ramp Walk, all the students introduced themselves one by one in the allotted time, and were impressive in their own way. The event proceeded with performances prepared by second & third year students of VSBS.

The “Talent Round” also maintained the charisma of all participants as it surprised their fellow
batch-mates after they witnessed such mind-boggling performances. The dose of entertainment was doubled by the engagement made with the audience by all the anchors.

The last section of Mr. & Ms. Fresher Competition began with a “Q/A Round” and made the Competition tougher; but the ones who fight till the last, win. Divyank Behal and Janvi Segal were crowned as Mr. & Ms. Fresher VSBS 2019.

The Farewell Party of Vivekananda School of Business Studies was organised by the Cultural Committee on 16th April 2019 for the Batch 2016-2019. The event started with the address of Principal Director Prof. (Dr.) Rattan Sharma where he communicated his heartiest wishes and blessings to the 3rd year students for their bright future. During the event, the coordinators of the Placement Cell of VSBS were honoured for their excellence in coordinating various placement sessions and drives during the academic year 2018-19. The event was graced by wonderful cultural performances by the students of VSBS.

As per the tradition of VSBS, Mr. and Ms. Popular and VSBS were also awarded on the basis of faculty and student voting to appreciate the efforts and performance of respective students during their academic tenure at VIPS. The criterion for selecting students was multi-fold and dynamic, where the students were selected on the basis of their academic performance, cultural participation and other contributions towards department. On the basis of Faculty and Student voting, the four main tittles were awarded to the 3rd year students which are as following:

3. Mr. Popular- Divyansh Jain
4. Ms. Popular- Avni Bansal
